Hoover Course Commitment

Please 1-read- 2-print -3- sign and -4-bring to next class
B4U register/ Points to ponder:
1- If you do not have a current e-mail address, please establish an account in order for the instructor to send you home work assignments and announcements, periodically.
If you do not have one or if you do not wish for this to interfere with your regular e-mail, then you might want to sign up with google by going to the google home page and click on "Mail".
2- Prospective students are invited to visit the class a couple times prior to making a commitment but after that time registration forms and tuition's should be in a timely manner, no later than ten days after beginning class.
One surprise for students is that the pre-license class is much more involved and harder than they may have imagined.
The trial period has been established to help these people evaluate their options, but this is not to serve to discourage anyone.
An extremely large number of people, statewide study and pass the exam every year, and hopefully go on to successful careers.
Please be responsible for turning in your registration and tuition during a break.
Text books can be carried home prior to this ten day period if the student leaves a $20 deposit.
3-All students should come to class prepared with all of the essential supplies, including a red pen, a writing pen, text book,a yellow marker, study guide, a calculator, lined blank paper and any other items that may be mentioned on the
blog: www. classnotes2007. blogspot. com.. Click on "Hoover class notes".
Check this blog every week for updates and assignments.
These actions show commitment, mamturity and the professionilism necessary to suceed in this class and in a real estate career.
4-State law says the class room should be free of distraction including cell phones.
Students are encouraged to leave their phones in the car.
If this is not a favorable choice, at least they should be put on "vibrate" and if it does vibrate --the phone needs to be ignored until break time.
No text messaging under the desk will be permitted.

Adult education is unique because most of the students who are involved are also living a busy life that carries responsibilities for themselves and a family.
Often students attend class after leaving a stressful job and plan to leave class and deal with other awesome responsibilities.

Hopefully you will find that the instructor is sensitive to your situation, but the above comments are in response to people coming unprepared and uncommitted to the program.
Because you are allowed to cover the material over a period of a year does not mean that you should come in with a casual attitude and not focused on the material.

This course should be view as a seriously as any college or career development course.
I have had two different people with master's degrees tell me that the real estate pre-license course was harder than any course they ever had.

Just because we enjoy interacting on a friendly and personal basis should not deceive students into thinking this is not a serious situation.
Too many students are having to take the exit exam too many times because they are not taking the subject seriously.

When you pay your tuition you are buying into your future and the staff takes the responsibility of helping you achieve your goal very very seriously , but when you do not even bring a calculator to math class it is unfair to you and to your class mates.

It is many of the same factors that cause success in areal estate career that will cause you success in this course, including time management, self management, and focus.

We love to turn out successful people who call back and tell us about their successes.
This business has allowed us to share in some great adventures and make some great friends.
We are honored to be part of the journey many people have allowed us to take with them.

But we take this course and your future seriously.
Therefore,we are likewise saddened when people enroll and are disappointed or defeated in persuing their dream.

I pass these comments to you because of the observations that I have made over the years and those who are not ready to commit to this program may want to re-consider their enrollment.
